Haul - HW HONDA S2000

The much anticipated haul of the year has arrived, yes, the much talk about and much rave about casting by collectors has made it ways to me, hehe, But what is it? Its the 2011 Hot Wheels Premiere Honda S2000.

Package arrived save and sound, an added bonus are those cool Stamps. Rarely received US package with stamps, usually with only the bar code stamping.. A little dented on the box, nothing major i hope.

Once open, all the cars are pack nicely and neatly in PAPER! Seller still uses paper for packaging material, now abit worries on the dented part of the box.. upon inspections, hmm seem "TAK KENA" (Didnt hit). Later found out that seller is being Green and environment friendly, hence no styrofoam / bubble.. kudos to the seller.

Once open all the packaging, and WOW..so yellow.. its the 1st color to the S2000 which only appear briefly in local market and many collectors wants to complete all 3 color variations. So here they are for your eyes only.. enjoys.

The front and back of the card packaging shows US Long card, not much difference except for the car info shown which the international card do not.

That it for now, waiting for my other haul / package to arrive soon this week as well. Cheers.

2011 MYSTERY MODELS / CARS

Just when you thought that Mattel Hotwheels has done away with the Mystery cars segment series, here come a big blow to us collectors. Seem that there is a NEW Mystery series appearing in K-Mart in the States. Its called the Mystery Models which is in blind plastic baggie packaging. Each of these packet consists of a basic hotwheels models and a piece of catalog / poster showing all the models in the series and there are 24 of them all in total.

This is what / how the mystery models series being sold looks like. A big box with holes at both the bottom and top. Its looks like a FIFO (first-in, first-out) system. Packet is taken out from the bottom and replace back at the top. This will cycle the package randomly in the box if ones return the package taken from bottom. No more peeps holes or open carded, now all need to do is feel the packaging to know whats models are in them, unless they are wrap-up. Good luck.

General Mills - HW Nostalgia

Mid September 2011, the release of Hot Wheels Nostalgia series 2nd wave which feature Characters from GENERAL MILLS. Maker of cereal products such as Cocoa Puff, Lucky Charms, Trix and many more. This is Case 'C', release before case 'B' which is the DC Character wave. Also one of the wave which will not hit locally as licensing issue prohibited it.

Order 2 case online and as you can see, the seller didn't double box it and there are some dent to the case itself. Nothing major to me as am liking it and will open a set up.

Each case consists of 16 pieces as indicate on the box itself, and there are 9 cars to a set. Having 7 casting with 2 unit of each and 2 casting with 1 unit each, so the only way to complete a set is to get a case and with 7 pieces of extra. Which to me is not bad because the extra are casting like Hiway Hauler, Deco Delivery, Ford C.O.E which is also favorable by most collectors if they do not wish to complete a set.

Casting and Character is this series will consists of the following : -

Grab it before they sold out, they will not be re-release it again in future wave as future wave will be Case 'B' featuring DC character and Case 'D' featuring Hershey Chocolate.

The back of the card shows all the casting for this General Mills wave, all that is left is whether Hotwheels will release a 4-pack exclusive for this like what's been done with Master of the universe (4-pack Toys R us Exclusive) and the DC wave (4-pack Wal-mart exclusive).

KFC Ole Pocketful Promo...

The KFC Die-cast promo is back and this time around it feature 1/60 scale MINI COOPER diecast from Wellys. Promo started in June 2011 (yes, am too late to put this :( ), so anyway this promo comes with a mini cooper with purchase of KFC's Ole pocketful set meal.

With each Ole meal, a mini cooper is your for RM$5.50 each or at RM$8.00 with any purchase of KFC meal. The cooper comes in 2 difference model which is the Mini Cooper and Mini Cooper S Cabrio with each model having 3 distinct color. The convertible S Cabrio comes in Red, Silver and Black where as the Mini Cooper comes in Yellow, White and Blue.

Haul of the cooper above, they comes in blue with window cardboard boxes, its sturdy but not hard enough for protections. They are made by Welly as indicated at the base of the casting. At 1/60 scale, they are what you paid for, nothing bad, nothing good. Only manage to get 4 out of 6 for my collections.

Maisto Haul

Maisto new release recently. Custom Shop and Elite Transport series. Both series sporting some very nice super cars in them which is the Lamborghini and Mitsubishi Lancer.

Haul of the month, 2 single card pack (Mucielago and Lancer evolution) and 2 elite transport pack (Gallardo and Lancer evolution with truck transport).

Up close pics of Elite Transport truck with Lamborghini Gallardo, sporting a 2-tone body color of Red on the top side with white on the bottom side. Nice combination, even the rims are spot on.

The 2nd close up pics of Elite Transport featuring the transport truck with Mitsubishi Lancer evolution in an all Blue body with a "STAR" on the roof and stunning black rims.

Next is the Custom Shop series featuring 2 of the best cars i like, the Lamborghini Murcielago and Lancer Evolution. The Murcielago is kinda plain with its all red body (something like the elite transport featuring the Lamborghini), the rims kinda save the car.

Another 2-tone color scheme for the lancer body with black on hood and spoiler. The side of the car is awesome looking some Japanese design tempo on them. Its a must have for Lancer fans.

Yeah, this year Mattel offer new series to Malaysian Market and one of the series is the HOT WHEELS GARAGE series. Comprising some of the biggest Automobile maker in the world, the Garage series will showcase cars from FORD, VOLKSWAGEN, FERRARI, GM, MOPAR and many more.

Each of the casting in this series will feature Metal Body and Base with Real Rider wheels and is retailing at SRP $RM19.90 each.

More and more releases are expecting to hit the shelves, be on the look out for more new and exciting release from the Garage series. Cheers.

WALL TRACKS - HW Display

Yes, Mattel Hotwheels has come out with a new product call the WALL TRACK and this looks to me like a collaboration with Command Strip tape from 3M.

This new product is a Display rack / case for Hot wheels cars and comes with a free car in the pack. As shown in the picture, the rack have 5 compartment standing vertically. The rack DO NOT attached together with other rack but as an individual rack by itself.

The rack is stick to wall using "COMMAND STRIP" tape which is apply to the back of the rack. (It not permanent so no worries) It can be re-apply again with new "Command Strip" should you need to stick your rack somewhere else.

Once open the package, a little assembly is need for instance the attachment of Hotwheels logo to the top of the rack. Then its all ready for display with your Hot wheels casting. I found it to be able to fit in larger casting like the Dairy Delivery and 55 Chevy Panel. Not sure on other big casting like the Dragbus or Custom Convoy.

Overall, a very nice and interesting product and i would get more IF the price is more reasonable. This Wall Tracks is now retailing at RM$ 39.90! a pc, really too hefty a price to pay for a plastic rack and a free car. Nothing special bout the free car too, just another basic car that was release before and some are the Track aces series car that was release in 2008.

Disney Pixar's Toy Story 3 character has been turn into Vehicle by Hot Wheels and they do looks HOTTER then ever. This is HAMM on wheels, featuring Ham the pink coin box. This was release in wave 2 and it looks so darn cute. Accompany Hamm on wheels is HAM pullback toy from McDonald.

Spotting a Silver body with black tinted windows and brown co-mold wheels and metal base. A must get for all Raging bull fans.

New series from Hot Wheels, the CUSTOM MOTORS series. Came in a few pack sizes where the smallest pack also known as the Starter sets which comes with 15+ interchangeable parts. Each pack allow the vehicle to be transform into difference mode depending on one creativity. All parts can be used with others starter pack and or bigger size pack to enhance the vehicle.

This is the Starter Pack from Custom Motors series which feature the Batmobile Tumbler from BATMAN : The Dark Knight movie. The Tumbler can be transform into a Battle Tank mode using those add-on interchangeable parts.

The lack of updates here is due to my work transition in this and next month time. But that will not affect my hauling and as usual some haul done for this month of april so far.. enjoys.

Newly acquired this week, Maisto new releases from Custom Shop series and the Allstar Elite Transport series. Haul here is 2 of my favorites casting the Lamborghini and Mitsubishi Lancer Evo and man those color Red and Blue are awesome!

Next up are haul from earlier of the month, the Speed Machine from Hot wheels, those 2 newly added addition to the series have be very elusive to me for some time but not anymore. Not to be missed is the NASA Space Shutter from Matchbox Sky Busters series, and from TOY STORY 3 Hot Wheels, Hamm is release!! cute, pink vehicle that looks like a DD? lol.

Yes, its that time of year again, Mad Mattel Warehouse Hauling. Some pics of what i've bought during these few days. Lot and lots of stuff were going out fast and people were everywhere. Some of the diecast available there were the Disney's Pixal Cars, Batman 1:50 scale series, Color Shifters, Ferrari Racers and the most unbelievable finds is the Hot wheels 1/18 Elite series featuring Ferrari Mondial 8 Limited editions which was told to be only 50 pcs available in the sales and each pieces was individually number.

A small haul arrived courtesy from USPS or rather Pos M'sia. Here are 2 item only (been controlling myself from buying too much) a 2010 Larry's Garage featuring a Purple Passion Woodie and also a 37' Ford from the 2009/10 Sweet Rides Delivery series.

The Purple Passion Woodie is in Gold color with brown panel on body and door. Also there are flame tempo on them everywhere, with RR tires on them too.

New addition to my Sweet rides delivery series, the 37' Ford Woodie featuring "Hershey's" on Roof and side door. That 12 down and 3 more to go.

First, Green Light's Motor WORLD series at 1/64 scale. Green Machine are the chase in this series and its not hard to miss, look at the wheels, plain n simple. Thanks Uncle for bringing this series and poison me with it.

Next are the 2011 Hot wheels model card release, got me the Fast cash, chevy and the magane casting, Thanks to a friend for looking out for them, u know who u are ya, Thanks..

The next haul is really totally unexpected and happen to be at the right place and time. Thanks to fellow collector for those Thunt and the Shell, those are exactly what i was looking for and it help fill in the Gap in my collections. Thanks a bunch guys.

Also thanks to a fellow friend and collectors for its head ups that i manage to haul these new releases, simply awesome and i find it to be the best wave for 2011 so far. Simply the best of the best .

2010 Mustang Thunt - CRUSH!

Finding a Hot Wheels T-Hunt on peg can be rare for someone like me, so when i do see it, chances are i'll buy it without a 2nd thought. A T-Hunt is not something you would mistreat it like some sort of worthless garbage. Like the one i recently found on peg, i'll let the photo do the talking ya cause am too sad to say anything when i see it.

One thing i know i had to do to ease the pain is to release the Mustang and let it ROLLSss, now that is better. Luckily didnt suffer major breakdown, once release, its as good as new.

I don't know why these individual would do such a thing as crushing the cards, i know it was done on purpose as all the others card in the mustang wave is mint condition, The question is WHY? are these individual have some sort of mental disorder or something? Weird..

Die-cast collector, ever wonder how to keep a loose cars on display free from dust and dirt besides displaying them in covered glass shelves or cabinet or cupboards. Also due to display case space constraint or to prevents cars from rolling off in display. Here's one ingenious way of keeping your loose cars collections neat and tidy.

Foldabox from Rodapanas.com has came out a way to display your loose collections neat and tidy at an afforadable price. The foldabox for loose car are sold at RM 10 for 5 pieces as shown below. They are called foldabox because, some folding are needed in order to made your display boxes

Foldabox came pack in 5 pieces and will look something like below once spread out. Folding Instructions are available and come with the pack or via Youtube for a step by step guide.

Usually it will take around 5 min to fold a foldabox but once you have try it, the next would be easy to do. Once done the fold will look like a rectangular square box. Because of its flat surface, you can stack them up or line them up for display. You cars will not rolls off from display and you dont need to put blue tag to keep them in place. Lastly, they are free from dust and dirt of open display. Less cleaning and save time.

What i like about the foldabox from rodapanas as compares to other made is that the size is suitable for bigger diecast model like the Dairy Delivery, 55' Chevy Panel, Drag Truck and many others casting that am collecting.

2002 is the year where Mattel release a Halloween theme cars set series called the "HALLOWEEN HIGHWAY". The series comprises 4 difference 2 car-packs which feature Halloween graphics like zombies, mummies, vampires and wolfmen them, making them SCARRYY.. lol.

HotWheels DISPLAY

After a year pass, now only i've manage to fill the display with die-cast. Wasn't sure what to put in then. Got this Hot wheels display case from a Collaboration Contests that runs at Toys R Us with Mattel in 2009. Contest rules were simple, to registered for the contest, spend over rm30 in a single receipt with hotwheels products and be a "Star" card member. After that, the top 20 highest spending "Star" card member for hot wheels products (during the contest period) will wins the display case. Easy as 1-2-3 :). Will probably rotate the cars display once every few months or years.

Haul of the week (Jan 2011)

YAHOOO!!! and thanks to Mattel for finally bringing something for the adult collectible market. What in store for us is the newly release series of Hot Wheels Vintage racing series and also the Hot Wheels Garage 2011 series that is now available at local Toys R Us and Aeon Jusco outlet nationwide. Haul one of each and also some new basic cars.

Both the Garage and Vintage Racing series are having Metal body chassis and base and also both series are with Real Riders (Rubber) Wheels. Each are at RM$19.90 SRP nationwide and i must admit, they are not bad at all. Not into Muscle cars but i do like the one i've bought. Nice.

Some basic mainline cars that i found and some by friends which fits into my collections. The T-Hunts is a bonus to have, others are just awesome. The more i see the 2011 card design, the more i like them, very vibrant and colorful.

And lastly, found the circle tracker racing tempo for my racing collection, the black delorean and green evo lancer to complete my set and the boneshaker is a error itself with masking tape all over the front engine. Awesome January hauling so far, nice.

1981 Delorean DMC-12 (Complete)

2010 is over and comes 2011, with it also the completion of 2010 Hot Wheels Premiere of the 81' DELOREAN DMC-12 casting with 2 re-color of Gold and black.

A vintage casting which only saw its production in the mainline series almost 20 years later in the making. Now if only TOMY TAKARA would made one in its mainline with openable door and it would be awesome.

All 3 of them side by side, all 3 with 10sp wheels and openable hood at the back. If they aren't loose, you won't know that they are openable and would think its a variant / error cars (some even put it on ebay).

Very nice and can't wait for the 2011 FTE version and also the official BTTF version making its debut in the Premiere series in 2011. Happy hunting.

SHELL - HIGH TEST Series

HOTWHEELS showcase series (OIL CAN series) in 2004 release a limited production runs of 7000 set on a 4 piece set series called "SHELL : HIGH TEST". Featuring casting with Classic "SHELL" logo and Red/Yellow color theme, also with rubber wheels.

These are in scale of 1/64 and in tube packaging which collector called "OIL CAN". There is also a difference runs for this series which is without the Rubber wheels top that was in production at 15,000 set.

Object of my rant! - Haul

Object of my ranting the last couple of week last month. A purchase made in late October overseas saw it arrival on 2nd December!!! via Express Mail! What really happen then?, read on.

As usual, i wait it out after making payment to the seller for the item to arrived. After a week, i track my package and saw that it is delay and held at customs for clearance. So i say to myself, ok its at customs and should be out soon in a day or two. But nope, still at customs and am beginning to wonder what is going on. A few days later my seller contacted me via email that my package was held and that they (customs) needed some additional document from me and that am to contact the express mail service provider for more info.

I called up the Express mail services to ask about my package and was told that customs need a declaration letter from our so-called Minister of Domestic Trade co-operative and Consumerism (MDTCC) or (KPDNKK) Kementerian Perdagangan dalam Negeri, Koperasi dan Keperggunaan. Because of a silly stupid ruling by our Government, that all toys need to undergo chemical testing and approved by the MDTCC / KPDNKK before being allowed in the country for sale. Mind you that what i purchase is for my own use and is consider collectibles.

Next i called up MDTCC and tell them what happen and ask the procedure to obtain the letter of release. Was told to go to the website and download a form, fill it up and sent it back to them and they will prepare a letter of release for me to forward to the Express maill service provided to be sent to customs for release of my item. Not only that ,the customs also imposed a 10% Duty TAX! on the item, argghhhhhh!!! .

Very close call as the Express mail service provider can't hold on to my item any longer (been 1 month un-claim), i had to talk to the higher up to drag for 1 more day and then sent them the release letter from MDTCC which i constantly call them up to prepared. Finally got my package on 2nd December afternoon and pay my duty tax and everything happily ever after... for now!

Reason for delay in detail :-

1. Express service provider posted the form / info to a wrong address which resulted in me not knowing what happen until my seller email me. (2 week delay).

2. Made a call to MDTCC after calling and getting my shipping detail from my Express mail provider to ask the what need to be done next. Person in charge was ON-LEAVE (Hari raya Haji) (1 week delay)

3. Finally got hold of someone at MDTCC and got the info that i needed. Took few days to fill in all the form etc and return back to MDTCC with haste and call them up to confirm receipt. (2-3day)

4. After 2-3 days and till no news, i call MDTCC again to ask about my letter, person there says its done but don't know where is it and need to redo, they ask me to sent again those form n document! Kanasai! (3 days delay)

5. Mail service provided called up and says package been hold up far too long and will be ship back to sender, i ask to hold on for 1 more day as the letter is being prepared and ready by next day. Next day letter from MDTCC done, sign and in hands.

Package finally in hands and was glad all are untempered with but i had to made sure and opened them all up. Yes, all is fine and accounted for, hope there a lesson to be learn here and that in the future, we all know what to expect and how to go about it. CHeers.

Animated Batmobile

Seem like every year now since 2006, there a Batmobile being release in the basic mainline series. And in 2011 is no exception, a Batmobile is being release in the mainline series. That is the Animated Batmobile that made its 1st appearance in 2007 Mystery Cars series with red stripe and red window.

Its A sweet sweet rides this is, got some of them loose off from online store. Really like all of them and am wondering if i should get the rest (10 more casting) to complete the series. I particularly like the Sweet theme used in this series.

Some individual pics put together, saves me times to upload one by one. From top to bottom, left to right, they are ... 55' chevy panel (Reese), Highway Hauler (Whoppers), Anglia Panel (Crybaby), Fat Fendered 40 (Blow pop) and Dairy Delivery (Toosie Roll/POPS).

Some rear views of some of them with tempos. Mind you the Chevy Panel DO NOT COMES with the bike, it is not missing it just that Hot Wheels figures its a delivery truck so no bike is needed.

A small parcel came over the weekend and i was about to leave home for work. Quickly open it and anticipated what is inside already. Took my camera and snap snap snap.. enjoy the pics. Would take close up pics when i got the time. CHEERS.

BATMOBILE COLOR SHIFTER

Newest release from the Color Shifter series featuring Tumbler (Batmobile) from Batman The Dark Knight. Really didn't expect the series to release this but nevertheless its great seeing it in the series. It easy to spot this as the bottom left corner of the card have a BATMAN picture on it, so if you search on the bottom side, you know what to look for if searching for this piece.

The dilemma i have is that Hot Wheels didn't use the word "TUMBLER" but "Batmobile" to describe this casting whereas other series has been using "Tumbler". Also the design / color changes use is exactly shown in the movie. Camouflage version to Black version.

New Lancer Evolution X to my collections, this time its the 2010 HOT WHEELS NightBurnerz series and they looks very good. The 2010 Evolution X feature tons of racing theme tempo and the most noticeable is the "CLONE" tempo.

1st release on carded is the Blue body with clear window,

2nd color variation is release in a 10 PACK packaging and is a Rust body
with clear window, gray interior and plastic chrome base.

This is the Military Rods from 2000 with real rider wheels and clam shell packaging. Not to be mistaken with the Military rods with plastic wheels and blister card that was release recently together with Fire rods and Cop rods.

The many faces of MILITARY RODS Surfin School Bus.

U.S. ARMY INSIGNIA and United States Army name are the feature tempo on this series and the bus. Awesome looking with military color fill up the casting, also with real rider "USA GO ARMY" on wheels.

Some new arrival this week, have been waiting for this shipment for 2 months already, somehow it have manage to arrive safely. Monster Jam Duo pack which is not available locally at this time. Its a great set to collect, 1/64 basic car have been made with tempo from the monster jam series. Some notable casting included Dairy Delivery, Batmobile, Purple Passion, Boneshakers, Anglia Panels and lots more.

Also newly purchase this week is the 1/50 scale Hot Wheels Batman series 3 which include the following pic shown below. Simply loving them all. The 66' Batmobile can attached the 66' Batboat at its rear. Also newly release is the Penguin Batmobile with orange umbrella in it. Overall a great set to have, previously posted the Batwing some time back. Now i got the boat, bike and mobile to go along it. Cheers.

Haul of the week during lunch time at MV, didn't really expecting to find anything just casual browsing around as usual when i saw something unusual. First that caught me was the SPEED MACHINE Lamborghini Countach that i hear so much of. Then only saw some new basic car wave, don't know what wave is this actually as got some interesting casting.

Some of the new wave basic set i got are from the BEACH RACE WORLD series and the 2010 Camaro SS from the Hot Auction series which spot a Completely difference tempo from the 1st release which is red with white stripe.

Finally the 3rd Lamborghini casting to appear in Speed Machine is Countach after Reventon and Gallardo. Since both Reventon and Gallardo has came out with 2nd color variation, am thinking maybe Countach will be out with 2nd color too, only time will tell since its end of the year soon.

Once upon a time HWC.COM offer up a RLC car for sale at its website and its a SURFIN SCHOOL BUS with graphic design by MIQ (mike) Willmott and this is the result... speechless.

The bus spotted in all gloss black with light blue / white fusion graphic on roof and side. Metal base and red windows with chrome interior engine, also feature plastic red line wheels.

2010 Brazil convention has came and gone, it was held on the 18th & 19th of July. 3 casting were selected as Limited edisions Convention cars and it is the VW DRAG BUS, VW FASTBACK and DECO DELIVERY.

Since all the convention cars are limited editions, each card is specially number with a sticker at the back of the card, (i've blurred out the number).

LARRY GARAGE new releases in its latest case assortment is the BONESHAKER in ORANGE. I must say that this is beautifully done, the orange body with orange rims. Perfect for the coming HALLOWEEN seasons. Getting 1 is not enough, 3 pcs is ideal.

Sporting a orange body with black base, gotta love the orange rims which goes very well with the orange body. Same thing like the old 5.5 super treasure hunts which have the same red body and rims goes together.

Well another feature is that the flame on the side, if you look carefully will see skull on it. (Sorry, my camera just can't capture those) Overall Boneshaker in Larry line-up, this is the one that caught my attentions the most. Well done Hot wheels crew.

HOT WHEELS recently release a TOYS 'R US exclusive 20 cars boxset featuring 2009 SWEET RIDES delivery series. Among those feature are FORD C.O.E and SUPER VAN.

SUPER VAN with SUGAR DADDY sweet tempo. Featuring all Yellow die-cast body and base, red window and red interior and comes in real riders wheels. No tempo on the roof but the SUGAR DADDY is found at the back door.

49 FORD COE truck made its appearance in Sweet rides with MILK DUDS tempo. Come in yellow die-cast body and base but the storage is in plastic. Featuring real riders wheels with yellow line

DELIVERY - PENNZOIL & CONOCO

New Delivery Slick Rides haul, Custom 77 Dodge Van featuring CONOCO and also the long awaited Convoy Custom featuring PENNZOIL. The Convoy is starting to get cheaper on the secondary market as compare to 6 months ago, guess the hype has gone down. Glad to be able to get hold of it for my set. The newly release Dodge Van was looking great too and the rims compliment the casting and the Conoco brand.

Convoy Custom is one of the sort after casting in the Slick Rides series because of its a new huge casting with real riders wheels. The brand and color also compliment the casting very well, and with the 2nd color variation just release, guess the Convoy will just get hotter.

Custom Dodge Van feature blue interior, blue tinted window, blue body with CONOCO brand. Comes with metal base and awesome looking real riders wheels. This was release only in Case N and later in Case R.

Both are awesome casting and in the next Slick Rides posting will feature some of the last releases for the series which include the 69' VW squareback, Ford C.O.E, GMC Panel and 66' Dodge A100. Can't wait for them to arrive and be sure to check out my blog for more Hot-Wheels updates.

BATTLE FORCE 5

BATTLE FORCE 5, a new animated TV show by Mattle Hot wheels has been showing in the States since early this year and now the toys from the show has finally landed in our shore and am not too trilled about it either.

For starter, the price for each is a "KILLER". For a mere RM 34.90 a piece, i do not think it will sell AT ALL not to mentioned the lack of promotion for it. Probably another fail by product like SPEED RACERS line of cars. After one week on shelved, they had not been sold even 1 piece.

The 1st wave as i like to called it comes in 4 casting namely the Heroes cars like SABER, REVERB and BUSTERTANK, and 1 Villian cars the SCARIB.

There are in bigger then 1/50 scale and are all plastic material, nothing Die-cast about this series. But what it lack is somehow made up with all the gadget for each of the vehicle. In Speed Racers, the weapons or gadget is add-on to the vehicle but for Battle Force, it IS in the vehicle itself.

With just a push of a button, weapons and gadget POPS right out giving it a "battle mode" from the "normal mode" form. Its interesting but nothing i haven't seen before, remember "MASK".

Hopefully Mattel will reduce the price to made it more acceptable to the local market collectors. Will see how the future holds for this series and to me, it does not looks too bright at all. Cheers.

Hot Wheels XPOSURE!

A funny thing about certain collector or buyer or scalper or whatever anyone wanna called it, have this interesting "KIASU" habit when it comes to buying Hot-wheels.

When someone have some hotwheels for sale being loose or carded, you can be sure there be madness happening even before the said item for sale reaches the table. The bag / box will be taken right out from the owners and onto hungry hands for the picking.

After the madness (5 min), the leftover cars in the bag /box, and upon careful inspection there are GEMS to be found like, variation, error and so on. Lesson to be learn, take your time (but not too long) when buying, you never know what you find in the bag/box of cars..

Yup, they finally arrived just after 2 week that i made payment for them. Probably my new casting to collect, probably not, time will tell. Some for friends, some mine, some to collectors, one thing for sure is that these cars are going to be HOT!

My last piece for my Lotus Espirit collections, the 1st edition Black Lotus Espirit, have the rest except the Clover cars version. Some Toyota Celica to open n display, got 8 so far in my collections and some misc casting. Cheers

How often do u get a chance to see a Lamborghini Gallardo park somewhere that you least expected it to be. As in this case, at PJ HILTON Hotel last weekend when i was walking pass there. My 1st to see a Gallardo up close and personal and it looks awesomely gorgeous.

So seeing that there are people taking photo of this supercar, i might as well shoot some too. Sorry for the blurry pics, using phone cam and not all turn out well.

4th Lamborghini release in the Hot wheels' Speed Machine series. Got this on peg when others nice cars are gone, was getting skeptical thinking while holding it. In the end buy it and didn't think much after that. This wave is the newest release and with other notable casting like, white EVO Lancer and Mclaren F1 GTR.

Recent releases of SPEED MACHINE series newer wave has enable me to complete the Mitsubishi Evolution Lancer X 2nd color variations which is WHITE in color.

Awesome racing tempo, Mitsubishi logo clearly printed, awesome detail on the tempo, co-mold wheels matches the body color.

Rear light and logo nicely painted. Really like this Evo in this Speed Machine series, hope there's a 3rd color release.

2003 release one of the best Halloween series by Hot wheels. They came in 4 difference 2 pack and is released as limited editions series. Its called the HALLOWEEN HIGHWAY. Each of the casting showcase classic horror characters Phantoms, Frankenstein, Swamp Creature and others. The packaging is well done with flaming pumpkins and great color scheme that bring in the Halloween mood, definitely a nice set to collect.

Yeah, there a Monster Jam Duo in the market, sadly not in local market. Dont know if there be IN the local market or not. This is not the 1st time the Monster Duo was release, previously they were release as WAL-MART exclusive in 2008 and only had 3 casting. These new release not only re-release the 3 casting previously but also additional 9 NEW casting as well which also included a Original NEW casting of a DAIRY DELIVERY!!

Monster Jam Duo featuring a Monster Jam Truck and also a regular Hot Wheels 1/64 casting which spot the same decal / tempo of that of the Monster Jam Truck. Its a limited edition release and lots of them are new with tempo.

NIGHTBURNERZ - LANCER EVOLUTION

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution or more commonly known as EVO X by mattel has reach retail store. This very nice but not accurate EVO release in this year 2010 Nightburnerz segment series and is gonne be like the ECTO-1, highly sort after.

Graphics art on blister card is awesome, minus the side mirror that is. Wheels and tempo are amazing, with clear window and gray interior. Lastly a chrome base with new wheels.

Great racing design and detail on it. Great selections for EVO fans and non alike. Click pics for larger view.. cheers.

Custom 53' Cadillac - $Thunt$

This Custom 53' Cadillac is a very nice low rider casting which hardly anybody take notice of. 1st release in 2009 with 3 color variation that i believed not many collectors manage to complete. A fine selection for a Treasure Hunts considering this is the 2nd year release of this casting, also spots a mini racer at the back.

Gangster Grim : $THUNT$

Gangster Grim made its premiere release not in the basic mainline series but in 2008 Designer's Challenge series. This was not a very popular casting then and it isn't now either but somehow, Mattel chooses this casting to be this year Treasure Hunts series.

This Super Thunt version comes with

Spectra flame purple body and blue / green flame on top and side.
"Hot wheels" tempo on side and "TH" logo at back
Blue tinted window
Blue interior
Chrome base
New Real Rider Wheels

Lots of negative comment were given on this casting by collector to be the wrong selection for Treasure Hunts series. Yet still it is being bought up and hard to get as other Treasure Hunts. What is confirm is that, a Treasure Hunts is a Treasure Hunts no matter what casting it is, there will be people who would buy it to complete the series. Cheers.

2010 New Models Hot Wheels Premiere at # 34 in the series, the HOWLIN' HEAT. Well, as its namesake, you know it is wolf related casting and it looks good. Mattel did a SuppDogg in 2007 if not mistaken that looks like a pit bull and now in 2010, we have a WOLF theme casting.

All feature of a wolf head casting, ears, eyes, teeth too and tempo that looks like fur. This is one angry ferocious wolf that need to be capture and tame.

Haul - Anglia Panel

Haul for this week from the states.. those Panel is hard to come by, at least with good price. I miss out on a loose lot of 25 pcs Anglia Panel a couple of month back at EvilBAY, then saw these and click click click.. the rest is history.

3 pieces of limited edition Anglia Panel, Mint on mint card conditions and all 3 are real riders wheels. I really like the Fire RODS panel, the deco is sstunnniggg, other are not too shabby as well. 2nd fav. from these would be the Editors Choice and lastly the Rod & Customs.

2010 - Race World : Volcano Team

In 2010 mainline basic cars series, there is a sub-series which is called the RACE WORLD series. There are 12 teams in the Race World series and i've done a review on one of the team called EARTH. Now completed another team called VOLCANO.

The VOLCANO theme team has fiery flames tempo /deco on it which represent the heat of volcano. Even the background on the carded shows volcanic lava flowing. Nothing special for this team except for the flame theme deco, not that its haven't been done before.

The Volcano team comprises 4 casting with fiery flame deco are ..

Tomica Hero Rescue Force

Tomica Hero Rescue Force is the name of a Japan Sentai like TV show that showcase a Special Task Force that do Disaster Rescuing like Volcano eruption, earthquake, fire and many more. Rescue force have an arsenal of special rescue vehicle (something like ThunderBird concept) to help with the rescuing.

And what would a TV show be without merchandise toys to compliment them with. Tomica releases all the vehicle use in the TV show in 1/64 scale die-cast. Each of the vehicle comes with a card that can be used in bigger machine for special functions. These little 1/64 scale can also be deploy in the larger type of vehicle sold separately.

There are about 30 difference type if model to choose from raging from Core Striker to Rescue savers. As with all tomica product, model have special function on them like openable doors, hood and many more.

Retail price was between 19.90-29.90 each, now price drop to 70% off, so as usual buy up some of them for collection as well as to compliment the larger rescue machine.

I was introduced to TOMICA with Coca-Cola (Coke) Truck last year. Am not a Coke fans then but find it to be highly collectible due to the brand name. Each of the coke truck has somewhat a feature or function to them especially those event truck model.

Currently have these 5 model being release in mass market. I've heard of a box-set limited edition Coca-Cola theme truck but have not seen it. The following below is what's in my collections. As you can see, the number to it is the same but the truck are difference in color variation and model.

Haul of the week - Tomica (week 4- Mei 2010)

Well this week Tomica hauling comprises some Disney Motor (in another post) and also some Japanese cars. 1st time seeing the Toyota Crown Patrol Car (No.110), as well as the Subaru Impreza WRX STI (No.11). Others seen before and didn't get previously until now since TRU has a sales on them at MYR $6.90 each.

The Impreza looks familiar at 1st glance but then upon closer look it is a WRX STI version, previously it is a Impreza WRX (No.54). Both also are in blue color, so its easy to overlook this if don't have close up look.

The Suzuki swift also was previously release as a Sport Rally Cup car (no.16), this is for a friend whom have a Swift and in yellow as well.

Tomica / Takara Tomy - Disney motor

I don't usually buy TOMICA / Takara Tomy diecast because they are too plain with not much deco and also the price for them is a bit pricey as compare to others like HotWheels, Matchbox or Maisto. I think the good side is that they have very good detail and openable door, hood and others funtions on them.

Well today i stumble upon a great deal of Tomica Disney Motor. The DM (Disney Motor) from Tomica are casting with disney character on them and they look awesome. Usually the DM price is MYR$ 23.90 each, early this year departmental store have it for sale with 50% off and now they are going for 70%!

Can't resist them since now they price almost the same as Hot Wheels so i grab some of them, pics below..

Manage to grab some popular Disney's Character such as Mickey, Donald, Pooh, Tigger, Jack from nightmare b4 christmas, The Incredible and also Stitch from Lilo and Stitch. It is such as good buy. Hopefully there be more model to choose from elsewhere.

After some long while, manage to get some wants from departmental store, the hunts was just put up on peg by the stocker, super lucky. Now i don't have to pay astronomical price for it at black market. LOL.

Real Riders - 2 pack CAMARO Set

If you are into Camaro Muscle car then this special limited edition set of Camaro from Hot Wheels' Collectors.com is a must have in your collections. This 2-pack Real Riders set was release in 2007 and showcase 2 camaro which is the 67' Camaro and the 2006 Camaro Concept.

The 2 pack Camaro' comes in window cardboard box in blue with all the Brand's name, series and car models name on it. Large window packaging that allow the Camaro to be seen in almost all angle and entirely.

The 67 Camaro have the usual open hood feature and with red line Real Rider wheels whereas the 06 Camaro Concept spot the usual Real Rider wheels. Both Camaro are in red body with white stripe and are in die-cast metal base.

Awesome set for Camaro collectors, not to be missed.

Ford F-150 : Marcus's Truck

It's was funny how this came about, a collector friend of mine contacted me on this piece in EBAY whereby he was searching for some cars. Once i saw it, "Buy it now" it is. For a mere $0.99 excluding shipping, this is a must get, i mean how often do u see a casting with your name on it. Awesomely cool deco Hot Wheels, Thanks.

BTW, i'm in the construction line of work and this is fits perfectly for me.

FORD GTX-1 : $THUNT$

The Ford GTX-1 premier in the Hot Wheels mainline series in 2007 with 3 color variations (Dk Yellow / Pearl White / Blue). Then in 2008, it was in the Ford Racing team series and in 2009, it was feature in the Mystery Cars Series. Comes 2010, the Ford GTX-1 was once again being release and this time it was chosen to be in the Treasure Hunts series. See pics below.

This is the Flying Custom's Rocket Oil from the 2003 Hot Wheels Japan Convention which is only made 3000 pcs. This limited edition is package in a cylinder type packaging called the Oil can and only available in Japan.

It body is from Spectraflame Red & Chrome, with 'Flying Customs' deco & flames on sides, Chrome Interior, Red Window, Unpainted Metal China Base, w/CC's

Very low profile casting, not available in mainline due to its size and weight. Awesome decos. Enjoy the photos.

Delivery 2009 - Sweet Rides

2009 release a new series by Mattel called DELIVERY series. A series of trucks or related casting used for sweet delivery was use in this series. Its was made with metal body and metal base but spots plastic wheels. 15 casting was selected to bring this series out and it was so popular that it sold out and was then continue to a new release with new theme in 2010.

BATWING - 1:50 BATMAN series

Hot wheels release a 1:50 scale series based on DC's comics character BATMAN in 2008 and 3 series was release so far. Releasing all Bat-related vehicle in this series from Batman MOVIE, TV series, cartoon series, comics book and others.

Very simple packaging design, Bat-logo follow the vehicle series and in this case the Bat wing was from the original Micheal Keaton's Batman movie (1989). Plastic blister on cardboard back packaging.

Back of the packaging show others Bat vehicle in the series with all other manufacturer and licensing details.

BATWING was release in series 3, a first for Mattel (if am not wrong). Batwing spot a display stand and base with openable cockpit. Diecast body with rubber like wings.

The ball joint at the display stand allow the Bat wing to be pose facing up, down or sideways but has limitation to it as the ball joint is not fully without constraint.

A simple comparison in size for the 1:50 scale BATWING with its 1:64 BATMOBILE counterparts. Can pose them all side by side as it looks like the scale is matching.

Some accumulating haul for Speed Machine series. Only some of the casting that i really like if not all. So far the Corvette C6R and WV Sciorocco GT24 remains to be my fav. Over 75% of the series has been release, just a few more then the series will complete its 1st color set. 2nd color repaint has appear with the 1st being the REVENTON in lime green color. Connect Cars USA

The Connects cars series was release in 2009 where by the concept of this series is to have a car with a connecting casing to connect to each other. There were 2 version release for this series namely a US version and also an international version. Both differ in terms of casting, packaging and theme for the series.

The US version of the Connect Cars consists of 51 casting that represents the 50 States in the country and an Xclusive car which represent Washinton DC. All casting were carefully chosen to bring out each states uniqueness.

The back cards for the series formed the flag of United States of America.

The front cards show the name and shape of the states the casting represents.

2010 Basic cars line has incorporated a new sub-series which is called the RACE WORLD series. In this series there is another sub-sub series of 12 team with each having 4 cars in each team. The EARTH Team is one of the team in Race World Series. The EARTH team is based on the element of earth and have transparent body like the X-Raycers Series.
