HW FAST & FURIOUS

So its finally here, Hot Wheels' Fast and Furious (FnF) series was release ahead of the Franchise Movie that is to be release later this month. The series will have a total of 8 casting selected from all 5 difference FnF installment. From the 8, there is 5 muscle car and 3 import and they are not Real Riders Tires. Almost like mainline cars with special movie carded packaging. Made one wonders since there is a license why not a Retro Entertainment that feature some of the cars.

Let's start off with the case box, each case box consists of 12 carded cars which only have a complete 1 set of 8 and 4 extra cards. For those collecting in set, buying a case box is so much easier then finding a set from pegs.
Case box arrangement, 4 pcs to a row and with 3 rows. Only complain is that all the carded somewhat have some minor (if not major) damage due to the box packing. As notice by most case buyer, the cardboard is too thick and when folded it made the case box looks bloated.

The complete set of 8 consists of the following casting:

1/8 - 1970 Dodge Charger R/T
2/8 - Toyota Supra
3/8 - Nissan Skyline GT-R R34
4/8 - 1967 Ford Mustang
5/8 - 1970 Chevelle SS
6/8 - 2009 Nissan GT-R R35
7/8 - 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8
8/8 - 2011 Dodge Charger R/T

(**Case assortment might differ. )

The carded packaging is showcasing all 5 movie poster is which the casing appear in. There isn't any of the name shown like "Too Fast too Furious",  "Fast Five', "Tokyo Drift" and so on, just a generic "Fast & Furious" titles on all the cards.

1/8 - 1970 Dodge Charger R/T

2/8 - Toyota Supra
3/8 - Nissan Skyline GT-R R34
4/8 - 1967 Ford Mustang
5/8 - 1970 Chevelle SS

6/8 - 2009 Nissan GT-R R35

7/8 - 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8

8/8 - 2011 Dodge Charger R/T

Practically, all cars are metal body / plastic base or vice versa. They feel like mainlines with more paints app and closes to movie accurate as possible. Its Plastic wheels mine you and price is not too high a premium for them (at least to local collector). And off course the movie carded packaging which keep this a good collector set to own. New casting would be the Toyota Supra making its 1st appearance in this series followed by the mainline series.

All in all, a nice set to have if you are a fan of F&F series and its cool cars. Available mostly at Local toys store, with some appearing in departmental store countrywide. They are going fast just like the series name implied. Cheers and happy hunting.
