Fast & Furious Card Var.

With the movie release date coming closer, the Hot Wheels' Fast & Furious series is starting to appear in the States and in Online Auction sites. Here are the comparison photo for the US carded with the International carded.

For me, i really liking the US card more as u can see from the photo.. "Official Movie Merchandise" and the Movie Logo from all the movie are also on the carded. But for those collecting carded or Fast & Furious Fans, collecting both version of the card is as fun too. As for the cars, both version spots the same details, casting and paint apps on them. Enjoy the photo.

U.S. card (LEFT) / International card (Right)

There you have it fellow collectors, both US cards and International cards which is your preference? Would you collect both carded or just the one that you prefer. Also would there be a 3rd version somewhere out there?

The other notable Fast and Furious Card will be from the Mainline itself. When i get hold it it i will do another post on them. Until then, cheers and happy hunting.

Customs VW bug - 2009 Heat Fleet

One of the anticipating Volkswagen casting for 2009 mainline will be the Custom VW bug in the Heat Fleet team segment series. Its a nicely done customs bug with a huge exhaust pipe at the rear. There be 3 color variation to this release and the 1st color is the Red body with yellow/black flame. Also with yellow windows and gold chrome 5SP wheels.

Seem that there are few releases but with 1 distinct differences which is the openable enginee hood. There will be some with openable hood and some without the openable hood. To me, my preference would be the openable hood because it shows the engine.

Don't know if its is intentional or not to have 2 version of the same casting release in the same series, perhaps human error or cost production unjustifiable. In the end, collectors have be alert to find both versions.

Error, Error - 2009 Chevy Silvarado

Yup found another variations, this time its on a 2009 HEAT FLEET series featuring the CHEVY SILVARADO casting. The side flame is darker then normal and that the yellow color has been block by the same flame. The bike is chrome, blue window glass , OH5 wheels, that about all. To date, haven't seen any other on this variation.

Error, Error - 2007 Mad Propz

How often does one find error on card, as for me its probably once a year if i get lucky since i don't do much hunting. Guess its just at the right place and right time.

2007 Aerial Attack team series featuring one of the nicest plane in Hotwheels, the MAD PROPZ. Found this piece WITHOUT wheels by chance on peg at a departmental store. So without a 2nd thought, bought it home and become my 1st Mad Propz Casting.

Wheel-less, wonder how it will land, Mattel bucket up on QC, Subsequently got me another with wheels.

Error, Error - Surfin' School Bus

Surfin School Bus

The Surfin' School Bus appear in 2009 Hot Wheels city works segment series. Spotting a brown body color and black flames with green lining on roof and side of the bus. Green Window with black interior and plastic base, but there more then meets the eye.

Recent finding of the SSB (Surfin School Bus) shown that DEV (Defect/Error/Variation) appear in this casting. A missing chrome engine of the SSB on carded. Really a DEV that should not have happen. What happen to the QC for hot wheels basic cars? Anyway, there are collector out there that collect DEV such as this and is regarded more hard to find then a typical Treasure Hunts on shelves.

More photo reveal that it is not a custom job, no opening of base to remove the engine whatsoever. A 100% DEV from Mattel either its accidental or not it has made it way to the market and how many have made it out?
